Our
Projects

The Northwest Arkansas (AR) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is a proud recipient of a Black K.A.R.E. project grant for 2022-2023 from the Central Area of The Links, Incorporated. Our goal with this new community initiative is to promote kidney health and prevention of chronic kidney disease (CKD). We invite you to join us on this journey to fight CKD and slow its impact on our families, friends and neighbors by visiting Black Kidney Awareness, Resources, and Education (K.A.R.E.) website.

1 in 3 adults in the U.S. is at risk for kidney disease.

37 million adults in the U.S. have kidney disease, but most of them don’t know it.

Healthy Cooking Demonstration

In our first project year, the Northwest Arkansas (AR) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosted a chef-led cooking demonstration. Members of our community learned how to prepare & cook a delicious healthy meal, and how to follow a healthy eating plan by limiting certain foods in their diet.
